📖 Overview

This project helps you monitor LinkedIn company posts through RSS feeds. You receive email alerts when a post matches specific internship and field keywords. This tool is ideal for job seekers wanting to stay updated on internship opportunities in areas like AI, ML, and more.

🚀 Getting Started

Follow these steps to download and run the application:

1. Download the Latest Release
   • Visit the Releases Page to obtain the latest version. You will find all necessary files there.
2. Prepare a Google Sheet
   • Create a Google Sheet using the provided sheets/companies_template.csv. You can import this template directly into your Google Drive.
3. Fill in the RSS Links
   • In your Google Sheet, locate the rss_link column. Enter RSS feeds from RSSHub or any other reliable RSS generator that you prefer. This step is crucial as it feeds relevant posts into the workflow.
4. Import the Workflow into n8n
   • Import the JSON workflow located in workflows/linkedin_internship_alerts.json into your n8n instance. This sets up the automation that will check for posts regularly.
5. Set Up Credentials
   • You’ll need to configure your Google Sheets and Gmail account credentials. This allows the tool to read from your Google Sheet and send alerts through email.
6. Edit Keywords
   • Navigate to the Code node in n8n and customize the keywords. You can specify internship keywords such as “internship”, “intern”, and similar terms in Arabic and English for a tailored experience.
7. Enable the Workflow
   • Finally, enable the workflow within n8n. The tool will now actively check for relevant posts and send alerts based on your custom settings.

📋 Notes on RSS Stability

It’s important to note that public or community RSSHub instances may return a 503 error commonly. To ensure reliable service:

• Consider self-hosting RSSHub on your own domain or VPS.
• Alternatively, use a paid RSS service that provides stable “page-to-RSS” functionality. This will give you peace of mind that your alerts come through without interruption.
